Is your newborn portrait session coming up?
This must be a very exciting time for you! And I'm sure somewhat stressful. Here are a few things to know to help you prepare for your baby's portrait session.
Most importantly, try to relax and not worry. I know you probably won't be sleeping much, and you might be nervous about how baby will react during their session, but not to worry! I will take good care of you and your baby during your session. You can relax, enjoy a drink of your choice, eat cinnamon rolls, and watch tv or snooze. It's kind of like having an experienced babysitter for 3 hours! :) Moms, you can also use this time to get ready for your part of the portrait session.
Just a few things to remember:
- Give your baby a full feeding before you leave for the studio. And be ready to feed on demand during your session as baby may need more to sleep.
- Please bring a pacifier. Even if your baby doesn't normally take one, it's extremely helpful in keeping baby comfortable and asleep in between poses.
- And finally, please bring your baby in a zip up or button down onesie, as these are much easier to remove without disturbing baby.
Finally, congratulations on your new baby! And remember, your newborn's portrait session should be relaxing and stress free. I can't wait to document these moments for your family!
